The recommended way to get it is the ``simbricks-lib`` conda package (see :ref:`sec-conda-packages`). For environments where conda is not an option, the main repository can alternatively package the core library as a Debian package: .. code-block:: bash git clone https://github.com/simbricks/simbricks.git cd simbricks make package This produces a ``simbricks-core-dev_*_amd64.deb`` in ``lib/`` containing the SimBricks protocol headers (installed under ``/usr/include/simbricks``) and static libraries, which you can install with ``dpkg -i`` on Debian/Ubuntu systems.
